Biography
Not one to be boxed in, generalized, or easily summed up; Ashleigh Eymann is anything but a one-trick-pony. Hailing originally from Vancouver, for a time she found a second home in Victoria where she made her start performing with local greats Georgia Murray, DJ Murge, Ishkan and JustB. With music most naturally described as soul, Ashleigh fuses hip-hop, jazz, funk and blues into a mixed-bag supply creating a fresh hybrid of sound that makes pinning her down an impossibility. The roles of emcee, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist are here, guns blazing and passionately wrapped up in one chick.
