What is funny is that his music, in our opinion, brings us back to the late '80s of electronica. One of our first exposures to the genre were New Age artists like Yanni, Enigma, Enya, Hans Zimmer, and Vangelis. "Tres Cool" is similar, but in the 21st century style, which he released solo early 2011.
What is even better to this re-release, it is our first remix where we have the original LOGIC file. That's right. All the MIDI, all the samples, all the . . .
well . . . everything he used to make the song!
You couldn't ask for better source material.
We heard a monster club hit here. Just change the synth, add some automation, sidechains, bring in some club kicks and percussion, and done!
