Stephan Smirou is a french-norwegian producer, songwriter and musician. He goes under the producer/artist name ”vayu”, has guest starred with names such as ”Jaga Jazzist” and the Norwegian pop-sensation ”Ravi”, collaborated with two-time, Norwegian Grammy Nominee-winner ”Palace of Pleasure,” and written music for well reknowned Norwegian musicians.

Vayu released the album ”onceuponadancefloor” in 2012.  "Girl," from that album, caught our attention. So much so, we reached out to find out who this incredible talent really was. Little did we know.

Vayuproduction is currently working on original material that aims to preserve the nerve of ”Chansons francaises” from the 1960’s, which often have a romantic feel to it (Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour as a reference). The songs are written in English, French and Norwegian.
