I wrote parts of this song at various times and points in my life--then put it together and tracked it in 2010. It's sung primarily in the falsetto voice and is layered over by duet style harmonies. The song is a loose reference to a run in I had with an organized criminal group that decided for a variety of reasons to come and fuck me up. After the dust was completely kicked in the air and I had turned them into the IRS and sourced the FBI and Secret Service, I put my mind back together and recorded this.
My liver is my friend. I won't be fooled again.
You know I tried so hard not to let this eat me alive, but it's so fuckin hard when it tears out all your insights.
It would have been another matter if only you had actually tried, instead of living in the moment and planning every motion so so so, let go.
